Rather than staying in a single location and pivioting around a central point (a regular pano), you shoot an image of something as you move along a line - hence a linear panorama, and stitch the results together. At home I had tried a linear panorama. One area in which I shot, gave me an idea. Even with a chaotic schedule, I was able to get out and take some pictures.

I really needed a full frame tilt/shift at around 15mm - which does not exist, with a tethered connection to a small laptop, in order to adjust each and every shot (while not being able to get behind the camera to see the liveview result).Perspective Image Correction For Mac. So, yes - I sort of have a mess to post process. But the streets were very narrow (the street is only about 15 feet wide - side to side), so I had to shoot with my 8-16 8mm tipped up to be able to grab the full height of the buildings. Of the best photo-editing tips from bloggers: Lacey Maffettone ( A Lacey Perspective) on.There were a couple of areas that I found that did not have cars in the way, so I shot the entire block - around 200 images.I did a test and they did stitch - well sorta of, somewhat twisted (mildly encouraging). I know that I am pushing the limit here.It is, what it is. Role of Clustering, Routing Protocols, MAC protocols and Load Balancing in Wireless Sensor Networks: An.All of this might be well beyond the camera, lens, software and my abilities.I now remember looking at Hugin years ago. There are a few other packages that have PC capabilities.Anyone familiar with these at all? Has anyone tried something this off the wall before?Hugin is very good, does perspective correction and almost all else you need. There are some tutorials here Hugin TutorialsMost of these tutorials are for versions of hugin prior to hugin-2013, which introduced a new user interface, but it might give you some idea of how it can be used. There is also a very simple method which involves simply loading the image, opening Fast Panorama preview window and dragging the image, which is the same as transforming the image to how it would appear from a new viewpoint.TerryThanks for the link to the manual. I am running into the limits of LR to make some of the adjustments, and ICE is not well documented, so its trial and error.I think that will be it for LR for a while. It does a decent job and is intuitive but like all distortion correcting software, you lose resolution so it helps if you have a high MP camera. But of course a tilt/shift lens or a large format camera with movements is best so you don't throw away pixels.Good Morning - Well, I just finished flattening each individual shot, correcting for the 8-16 lens in LR, then exported them to a subdirectory. I can see that with all the results floating independently across standalone separate images, I am going no where fast.I can see that this "project" is going to take a while.PTLens is good for lens distortion but won't help with the perspective distortion you are battling.I like the DxO software. This is what LR and ICE do not offer, and the difference I think I was looking for. What I am finding with my current work flow, is that the across horizontal, vertical, rotate, compress and a couple of other controls, I can get some images right, but not others. It's this anchoring capability that I was missing. With tie points, I should be able to adjust one image for specific areas, tie point several images together, and then let Hugin adjust and scale, compress and stretch, bend and twist the stitch into a finished result. Download old itunes for macThe problem is that there is not really any wide angle tilt/shift lenses available - and it all of this were available, I would not be able to afford any of it. With the street being so narrow, I had to tilt the camera up to be able to grab the curb to the top of the buildings - and that along with not all the shots being perfectly parallel with the camera sensor has just made the situation worse.Yes, this project is made for a large format view camera, but with all the images, digital is really the format. My thoughts are that since this set of shots extends for an entire city block and runs up hill in elevation, that it is more than any single utility can handle. I should just go and find a demo copy of DxO and give it a try to see what it does. The software was reworked internally last year. This is how it should work. One klick and it gererated a great pano - and this very fast. So I tried the trial of PTGui. Didn't apply any perspective or distortion correction.Using Hugin (Mac-Version) to stitch the raw images automatically didn't work and I didn't want to do it manually within the software. Fortunately, I have 2TB of disk free to expand into. My son was just telling me that memory is on sale now - I might want to pick up another 32GB. I am finding that this is going to probably take at least a month to do - with letting the computer run a few hours at a clip.
